Carlos A. Nobre is a Senior Researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies, University of São Paulo, and a Senior Fellow at the World Resources Institute – Brazil. He holds a PhD in Meteorology from MIT and has a distinguished career as a scientist and leader in climate research. Nobre was Director of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) and founded INPE’s Center for Earth System Science. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and has participated in multiple IPCC reports.
