Mark Carney

Mark Carney is the Prime Minister of Canada and Leader of the Liberal Party, having taken office in March 2025. He previously served as Governor of the Bank of Canada and Governor of the Bank of England, guiding both institutions through major financial and political disruptions. He also served as United Nations Special Envoy on Climate Action and Finance, working on the alignment of financial systems with climate objectives. Mark Carney holds degrees from Harvard University and the University of Oxford, where he completed a doctorate in economics.
