Dr. Marta Gómez-Puig is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Barcelona and a member of the Riskcenter research group, specializing in Risk in Insurance and Finance. She completed her PhD in Economics at the University of Barcelona, after earning a Master in European Economics at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Her research, focused on international financial markets and sovereign debt in the euro area, has been published in leading journals. She has also conducted research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the European Central Bank, and Cass Business School in London.
