Michael Schöpf is the International Director of the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS), an international Catholic humanitarian organisation operating in over 55 countries to accompany, serve, and advocate for the rights of refugees and forcibly displaced persons. He steers the network’s global strategy, organisational development, and high-level advocacy campaigns. Previously, he served as the Regional Director of JRS Europe in Brussels and as the Chairman of the Advisory Board for the German Catholic development agency Misereor. He holds a degree from the Munich School of Philosophy.
