Bård Harstad is Professor of Political Economy and The David S. Lobel Professor in Business and Sustainability at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, and Professor of Environmental Social Sciences at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. He previously held a professorship in the Department of Economics at the University of Oslo, and was an Assistant and Associate Professor at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He is affiliated with the National Bureau of Economic Research and the Centre for Economic Policy Research, and has served as an editor at The Review of Economic Studies.
